About Laura Hammer

Laura grew up in the Ottawa area and found a deep love for God’s creation, music, and ministry while she lived there.

Laura has served in a variety of ministries including retreat centres, small and large non-profit organizations, camps, and churches. She started playing guitar at age 13 and leading worship at age 14, which has led her to being involved in worship ministry across Canada and internationally. In addition to her work at Hope, she currently provides itinerant worship leading for retreats, churches, and small groups. Laura has completed an Associate’s degree in Ministry from Hillsong College and a Certificate in Christian Studies from Heritage College and Seminary.

Her desire is to see each generation (especially young leaders) grow into their gifting and step into all that God has for their lives.

She loves a great cup of coffee, reading a good book, travelling abroad, and kayaking on the beautiful rivers and lakes of Ontario.
