We're Building!

We are a community church, and we want to build a community centre!

     You may have noticed a large white cross on Hwy #11 at Bayou Rd.  The property bordered by Hwy#11, Bayou Rd, Cumberland Rd. & Cumberland Beach Public School belongs to the church and we are preparing to build on it.

     We are accepting donations toward this project.  Cheques are made out to Hope Community Christian Church.  Please indicate that the donation is for the Capital Fund.

Pictures: The property pictures are of the existing pre-developed church property.  The top pictures are samples of the style of building that we are constructing.  The lower pictures are of the phase one building that is now complete.

Phase 1: The church property has a residential house on it.  We have renovated the garage and breezeway (attached to the house) and added an addition to it.  This gives the church a meeting room for up to 55 people. It has two barrier free washrooms, a kitchenette and a main office.  We use this building for all our midweek programming (youth group, administrative needs, worship team practice, prayer meetings, community outreach events, etc.).  The finished size is 1100 square feet.  This building is now open & complete (as of August 2010)!

Phase 2: The main church building will be located in the centre of the property. (aprox 60' X 120') to house our current ministries (worship services, children's meetings, youth group, community events, etc.).  This phase will have a full nursery, a multipurpose gymnatorium with stage & seating (Jr. high sized basketball court 60' X 50').  The gymnatorium will be used for worship services (seating for 300+) as well as regular sports (basketball, volleyball, etc.).  The rest of the building includes a full size kitchen, offices, three teaching rooms.  One of the rooms will be dedicated toward youth with games tables (pool, foosball, etc.) a stage and a coffee bar.  We also hope to include a full time day care in the first phase.

Phase 3: We hope to add a 80' X 130' addition that includes a large auditorium (seating for over 600) with professional sound and lighting for productions, concerts, & conferences.    Their will be a large stage with proper sight lines for drama, musicals, and concerts.  The rest of the building will have multiple meeting rooms for weddings, seminars, community events, service clubs, etc. as well as teaching rooms for our ministry training school.
